I've been dreaming of these shoes for a couple of years. I was concerned about buying them without having tried them first. I normally wear a size 7 in flats or 8 in runners (Nike shoes etc) and so I decided to order the 7 1/2. I live all the way in Australia and I was pleasantly surprised when the parcel arrived within 10days, 5 days ahead of the estimated date of delivery. I've been really worried about how the boots would fit me but they slipped on fine (no problems with the instep), even though my calves are pretty big (I'm normally around size 12-14) and I've had some problem in the past with being unable to zip up boots. These shoes remind me of gumboots. They are surprisingly light and comfortable even without socks, but it can also accommodate thick socks comfortably. I highly recommend this product. I bought it in gaucho brown and am now considering getting the black one also .
