"I bought these shoes hoping for something to replace my worn out KSOs. I wanted something that would be a little more durable and last longer. After reading a lot of really good reviews for these shoes I decided to take the plunge and bought a pair. From everything I read I was expecting a near perfect shoe. And they're good...but for me, they're not perfect. I'll buy a pair of treksports next time and here's why. My right foot is apparently too wide for the shoes because unless I wear them quite loose I feel pretty significant pressure and pain at the bases of my metatarsals after a mile or so. Only on my right foot; nothing like that on the left one. Also, I've noticed some tendon pain that I've never had before. It feels like tendinitis of my extensor hallucis longus tendon. I'm not sure why I get that with these shoes. And it's nothing I can't live with, I guess I just expected fewer issues with the shoes. Construction is great...they seem very durable. I wanted something that will last a while and I'm sure these ones will, after I figure out how to fix the problems I'm having when I run in them. These are very good shoes...but don't expect them to make your wildest dreams come true because you might be a little disappointed. As a little bit of a disclaimer, I read in many reviews that they were great for trail running and not as good for road running. Where I live it's not easy to find good trails to run on so most of my running with the trail gloves, unfortunately, has been on roads. Trail running with them just may make my wildest dreams come true... We'll see. "
