 "I have had bad shin splints for years, so I normally just do not run. I play tennis, and other sports a lot, so I was in decent shape. In August a friend convinced me to run a half marathon, so I went out to the big peach running store, had them fit me for shoes and bought these, and have been running 15-25 miles a week since. I'm 5' 9"" and about 175-180 lbs. I average about 9:00 miles for anything above 8 miles. They feel great! These shoes are supportive, they allow sweat/water to pass through, have a good spring in the step, and I couldn't be happier. As someone else said, if they get wet one day, they are easily dry by the next day. My shin splints haven't hurt at all, and I have had no hot spots at all on my feet. Yesterday I ran 11 miles, and although my body is a little sore, my feet feel great. I am running the half next Saturday, and am sure these shoes will give me everything I need to succeed (which in my case is to finish). "
